Strengthening S&OP and Planning

Situation

A growing industrial company has reached a point where existing planning processes can no longer support the complexity of the business. Forecasting, production planning and inventory decisions are poorly connected, resulting in excess inventory and recurring capacity problems.

Assignment

An experienced Interim Supply Chain Manager or S&OP Leader is brought in to strengthen the company's planning model.

The assignment includes reviewing demand and supply planning, defining clearer decision forums, improving data transparency and establishing a more effective Sales & Operations Planning process.

Typical impact

The organisation develops a stronger connection between commercial demand, operational capacity and inventory decisions, creating a more predictable and manageable Supply Chain.
